The pre-school room is split into
different areas of continuous provision with most toys and
equipment on low level shelving to enable children to self
select. Practitioners encourage learning through play. Allowing
children to learn through play is how they learn best and
helping them to build self-confidence without forcing them to do
things that they don’t wish to.
Each child is assigned a key-worker who
will monitor and encourage their development. They will record
their findings in the Child’s Record of Achievement and hold
regular meetings with parents to discuss developmental progress.
French lessons are available for
children in this group.
Children also go to the local dancing
studio for dancing lessons twice a week. |
